HEALTHY LUNCH BOXES
PACKING A HEALTHY LUNCH
A healthy lunch can help your child have plenty of energy to learn and play during the day. Packing your child’s lunchbox with healthy foods, including vegetables and fruits, can help kids to learn better, concentrate for longer, and enjoy playtime with their friends.

NUDE FOOD
Nude Food is a popular term in schools and preschools, but what exactly does this mean? Simply put, it's food without excess packaging. Usually, this means food that is not processed, often making it a healthier and more environmentally friendly option. Nude Food reduces the amount of 'stuff' that needs to go in bins to be sent to landfill. Durable, reusable containers are a great way to bring food, as they may last from pre-school through to high school and beyond, providing long term cost savings and environmental benefits.

Garden to Kitchen Program
Miss Bailey’s 3/4 class made Vermicelli Noodle Chicken Salad for their lunch today.
Thank you to the canteen staff and our parent helpers who supervised and supported students as they grated and sliced their fresh vegetables. We were able to use mint and tomatoes from the school vegetable garden. This was our first garden to kitchen session. We look forward to working with all classes over the next few months.
Zucchini Muffins
The Year 1/2 students and children in the school gardening club and kitchen lunch program have been using vegetables grown in our school garden. We grew huge, amazing, delicious zucchinis from which staff have made some tasty muffins for the students to eat.
Prep Students Cut, Peel and Grate their way to make a Healthy Fruit Snack
Each Wednesday between 9.00am and 10.30am a class works with canteen staff and parent helpers to make a healthy lunch (Parent helpers always welcome).
Currently our Prep students are creating Fruit Salad Supreme. Hopefully they will take an interest in helping their parents to prepare a meal at home.
