Saint Joseph Institute of Technology Maritime Education and Training is located at Cubi-cubi, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, a school and at the same time a training ground for aspiring future leaders in the maritime field. Saint Joseph Institute of Technology Maritime Training and Education offers Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation and Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering. A total of 234 students, 170 of which is first year and the remaining are second year and third year.
The campus has two buildings namely, Academic Building and Dormitel and one building is soon to rise which is the Marine Engineering Laboratory. Academic building is where the classes take place which has 3 storeys. At the ground floor you can find the Teekay office, Guidance office, faculty and staff's office, shipboard training office, nurse's office, engine simulator and audio-visual room. In the second floor is where the library is located. In the third floor you can find the Teekay propeller room, Teekay anchor room, project room and in the rooftop is the bridge simulator.
An Olympic size swimming pool where the cadets conduct their P.E session can be found as you enter the SMET campus with a length of 50m, a width of 25m depth of 5 feet to 15 feet. In addition, an integrated firehouse with the provision of mooring and mock bridge beside the swimming pool, where cadets conduct their training in firefighting simulations, bridge and deck related activities resides blocks away from the pool. A basketball and volleyball court is also provided for students where they can play in their vacant time and monkey bars where they can do activities to enhance their physique.

A 4-storey dormitel building equipped with CCTV’s and Public-address system, air conditioned living quarters provided with individual CR’s that serves as new home where cadets can rest and stay after their classes. On the ground floor you can find the lobby/receiving area and the mess hall where the cadets dine and also serves as gathering place for meetings. While on the second floor outside the cadets’ cabins, a study hall is placed with Wi-Fi connection installed that drastically helps cadets in reviewing and researching their lessons.
Whilst the third floor is occupied by second year and third year cadets which also have also a study area, same building functions applied in fourth floor but with unoccupied rooms.
The soon to rise Marine Engineering building, is where engineering students perform their hands-on activities and experiments provided with equipment’s that makes the school the first ever maritime school in Caraga region in which both have sophisticated technical laboratories for Deck and Engine students.
