As Vice Principal of SJI International Elementary School, Clare Doyle brings over 25 years of dedicated experience in education. A true Third Culture Kid, she was raised in Hong Kong, and her career has since taken her on an enriching global journey across schools in the UK, Hong Kong, Brunei, and Taiwan, as a Homeroom Teacher, Learning Support teacher and leader. Clare holds an NPQH, a Master of Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs Coordination. Clare is passionate about creating a supportive atmosphere where every student can thrive and reach their full potential, both academically and socio-emotionally. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family and her Singapore Special dog, as well as walking in the beautiful nature parks of Singapore.
Ashleigh Ryan is the Dean of Students at Stamford American International School in Singapore, overseeing behavior and wellbeing in the Middle School. Originally from New Zealand, she began her middle leadership journey at just 25, navigating significant transitions and experiences of bias that shaped her understanding of resilience, self-advocacy, and the importance of wellbeing in leadership. She moved to Singapore seven years ago to continue her work in international education.
A key part of her role involves developing and embedding social-emotional learning across the Middle School, ensuring wellbeing is proactive rather than reactive. She collaborates closely with staff to strengthen classroom practice, establish clear norms and routines, and use data to inform responsive interventions that support both individual students and wider grade-level trends. Alongside this, she leads through coaching sport and mentoring student leaders. I am excited to connect with likeminded women and to share experiences.
