Natalie Rose Wilcox

Natalie Rose Wilcox is an Environmental and Operations Staff Analyst and Grant Administrator with the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District (District), where she leads community outreach initiatives focused on stormwater, flood control, and environmental stewardship. She manages the District's Clean Stormwater Grant Program, coordinates public education campaigns, and oversees outreach efforts focusing on environmental source control education. Natalie Rose earned a B.S. in Plant Sciences with a Business minor from Cornell University and is passionate about making complex environmental topics accessible through public education. 

Chelsy Lancaster

Passionate and curious scientist and teacher at heart. As Content Coordinator - STEM for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, she is looking to enact positive change in her local Kern County education community, with an emphasis on environmental education and climate literacy. Fueled by community and curiosity, she envisions a world where all students are given the opportunity to be scientifically literate and compassionate members of society. 

Adyant Bhavsar

Adyant Bhavsar is the founder of IRISTEM, a youth-led nonprofit that makes environmental research more accessible through education, outreach, and advocacy. His work spans climate and sustainability research, environmental education, and youth engagement, with experience developing educational resources, supporting community initiatives, and helping students connect scientific research to real-world environmental action. 

Joseph Lim

Joseph Lim is a co-founder of IRISTEM and works on expanding the organization’s environmental education and outreach efforts. He has also collaborated on research related to earthquake hazards and resilience, bringing experience in both scientific research and communicating complex STEM topics in more accessible ways for students and communities.  

Holly Steele

Holly Steele is the Director of Professional Learning and Community Building at Ten Strands. She joined Ten Strands in October 2025, on the heels of a 20-year career in public education, during which she served as a county office administrator for STEM and environmental education, a teacher on special assignment, and a middle school science teacher. 

Aahaan Jain

Aahaan is a sophomore at Lynbrook High School in West San Jose, and he serves as one of the interns/staff members for the California Board Member Data Initiative Project with Ten Strands. He is also one of the co-founders of ConServe, a nonprofit that has expanded to 17 chapters internationally and introduced climate action resolutions in over 43 school districts with 643,000+ students. He's also an alumni of the inaugural cohort for California Youth Environmental Data Leadership Program, Cohort III member of the California Youth Climate Policy Leadership Program, and a mentor for CYCP Cohort IV. At Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action, he co-leads the State Advocacy team, leading the youth lead for the coalition backing Senate Bill 1048 alongside Ten Strands, the California PTA, Undaunted K12. Outside of advocacy, Aahaan has also conducted research at Harvard, Stanford, and Johns Hopkins.

Kelly Lui

Kelly Liu is a senior at Valley Christian High School in San Jose and co-founder and co-director of ConServe, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing sustainability in K-12 schools. Kelly got involved with Ten Strands after founding 3 data collection projects for the California Data Initiative (school board members, county office of education trustees, and county board supervisors). As an avid environmentalist, Kelly has conducted research with Harvard, MIT, University of Maryland, and Wolfram on projects ranging from forest health monitoring to using multi-agent reinforcement learning for energy grid optimization. A student leader at Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action, she leads the $50,000 Bring Your Own Cup campaign and 280-attendee Youth Summit and advocates for SB1048.

Michael Rodriguez

Michael is a postdoctoral scholar in the agroecology lab at UC Merced. His expertise is in sustainable agriculture, waste management, and climate change. His current work focuses on the researches the potential, implementation, impacts, and community outreach of community-scale composting in the Central Valley. 

Jemma Fong Chew

Jemma is a 3rd Year Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology Major at UC Merced. Jemma is helping to study the impacts of biochar and regenerative practices in almond orchards. Jemma worked to develop composting and soil science curriculum for middle school aged students, as well as teaching for the Bobcat Summer STEM Academy.
