Monday (A day) - We had class and set up binders and books. For Homework: (1) Look over "Classroom Procedures and Expectations" form given in class with your parents.  It will also be posted under "Useful Documents". Sign it to turn in by Thursday. (2) Those who do not yet have binders/ dividers, please purchase this week and set up tabs according to the form; Bring to class no later than Thursday. 

Tuesday (A day) - We had class. HW: Read Chapter 1, Lesson 1-1 (textbook). PB (workbook) p. 1-2, #2-30 (evens), 31, 32-42 (evens), 45-51 (odds), and 52. Read Lesson 1-2 (textbook)

Wednesday (B day) - no class

Thursday (A day) - We had class. HW: PB p. 3, 1-6, 8-14 (evens), #'s 16-36 (2nd column only), 40, 42; p. 4, #'s 44-53 (2nd column only), 57, 59, 60. Read Lesson 1-3.

Tuesday (A day) - We had class. Cover all books and get all forms signed by Thursday. Quiz Thursday on Lessons 1-1 and 1-2. Do PB (workbook) p. 5: second column (EVERY OTHER ONE), and p. 6: 35, 41, 46, 50, 53, 55.  Read 1-4 (textbook).

Wednesday (B day) - 

Thursday (A day) - PB p. 7: middle column EVERY OTHER ONE, p. 8: 32,35,38,41,45. Read Lessons 1-5 and 1-6 in textbook.

Monday (A day) - We had class. For tomorrow:  Finish classwork- PB p. 1: 9, 15, 21, 27;  p.2: 39, 43, 46, 48;    p 3: 37, 45, 54;    p. 5: #3, 12, 21, 30;    p.6: #36, 42, 47, 51, & 54; Practice Multiplication and Division Facts. Quiz Thursday on Lessons 1-3 and 1-4 (Adding and Subtracting Integers).

Tuesday (A day) - We had class. Due Thursday:  (1) Bring signed and corrected quiz, (2) Make sure your books are covered! I will take off points as of Thursday. (3) NO QUIZ,    (4) Review multiplication and division facts, (4) Re-read Lessons 1-5 & 1-6 in textbook.

Wednesday (B day) - 

Thursday (A day) - (1) Go through all HW corrections and re-do incorrect problems. Make sure you understand the answer. (2) Bring back signed and corrected quiz (on a separated piece of paper!). (3) Memorize rules for adding integers (Lesson 1-3). Do facts quizzes at home as fast as you can. (This is not for a quiz grade- just homework). Brush up on rusty facts. Next class is Tuesday, September 2.

Friday (B Day) -

Tuesday (A day) - We had class. DUE THURSDAY: corrected and signed quizzes. Finish practice sheet from class. Answers in "Useful Documents". DO the sheet before checking the answers! Quiz Thursday on Lessons 1-3 and 1-4.       **remember, if you don't turn in the homework, you have ONE more class period to turn in, for half credit! (for example, the facts sheets that were due today). 

Wednesday (B day) - No class.

Thursday (A day) - We had class. Know rules for adding integers (Lesson 1-3). Memorize rules for subtracting integers (Lesson 1-4). It is written on the board- WRITE IT DOWN!. Due next Tuesday: Correct and finish quiz from class today. 

Friday (B Day) - No class.

Tuesday (A day) - We had class. For Thursday: Study for a quiz on Lessons (1-3) and (1-4). You must memorize the rules for adding and subtracting integers (Look at your notes or in "Useful Documents" on here).

Thursday (A day) - We had class. QUIZ MONDAY on adding and subtracting integers. YOU MUST KNOW THE RULES for it. They are on the handout I gave you today. 

Do the homework at the top of the handout: Read Lesson (1-5) and (1-6) in the textbook. Do p. 11, #1-12 and p. 13, #1-8 in the textbook. The rules for the homework are on the paper. This is due Monday.

Friday (B Day) - No class. 

Monday (B day) - We had class. For homework: Write incorrect multiplication facts 3 times each on back of facts sheet. PB p. 9-10: 7-19 (only the ones in the same column), 26, 27, 33-39 (1st column only), 43-55 (that column only), 59. 

Tuesday (A day) - We had class. Due Thursday: PB p. 11-12: 2nd columns (every other) & 41, p. 13-14: # 2, 8, 14, 20, 22, 26, 28.

Thursday (A day) - We had class. Finish reading p. 17 in the textbook. Do all the "Try These" at the bottom of that page. Quiz next class (Tuesday) on Lessons (1-5) and (1-6). Remember handout with rules. Review adding and subtracting integers also.

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. (1) Study examples #3 on p. 41 and #4 & 5 on p. 43, do #8 & 9, Try These on p.41, and read Lessons 2-8 and 2-9: all in the textbook. (2) Do # 31 on p.42 in the workbook.

Thursday (A day) - We had class. Finish quiz corrections and re-read Lessons 2-8 and 2-9 in the textbook. Spend 30 min doing the diagnostic test on IXL.

Friday (B day)- No class.

Monday (A Day) - We had class. Finish classwork assignment (all workbook- PB; graded for accuracy): p.35-36: #18,23,26; p.37- #15,18,33; p.40- #19; p.43-44: 18,23,25; p. 46: 25,27,30,32.  Homework: p. 47-48: #3,9,15,20,29.

Thursday (A day) - We had class. Finish classwork from today (PB p. 36: 29,30 & p.48: 30,31); Bring in any missing assignments, signed and corrected quiz (those who did not finish); Read notes on Formulas and do PB p. 48-50: 4,6,18; Read Lesson 2-10 in textbook and try p.51 (PB), #5.

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. Quiz Thursday on Lessons 2-4 to 2-8. Correct and understand all graded work. There will be a BINDER CHECK for a grade.

Wednesday (B day) - No class.

Thursday (A day) - We had class. Do # 5 & 8 on p. 51-52 in the Practice Book (PB) and finish your IXL Diagnostic Test. Correct any binder issues. Have a Happy Thanksgiving! 

Friday (B day)- No class.

Monday (A Day) - We had class. Do quiz corrections. Study Vocabulary Development sheet that we did in class and review rules for +/-/x/divide integers for a short quiz. Come to class during enrichment Tuesday for a bonus retake quiz (only those who were in class today).

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. Study for a test on Chapter 2 on Thursday. Do problems from the Practice Test in the workbook (PB), p. 57 & 58 to study. I have given you answers for many of the problems. Make sure you get the same answers. ***Bring in any missing work or quiz corrections. 

Wednesday (B day) - No class.

Thursday (A day) - We had class. Finish IXL Diagnostic Test for homework.

Friday (B day)- No class (field trip)

Monday (B Day) - No class. 

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. **Finish Chapter 3 Diagnostic Test (I will grade for completion, NOT accuracy). Do your OWN work!! This is for me to see what you do and do not understand. If something or someone else (a computer, parent, or friend) is doing your work, YOU are not learning anything!!  **Finish test corrections. Remember we will have a short daily quiz on what we covered in class (first 4 questions on the diagnostic test & "chapter opener" page of Chapter 3 in the textbook).

Wednesday (B day) - No class.

Thursday (A day) - We had class. **Study for your Mid-Term Exam which is next Tuesday morning. It is on Chapters 1 and 2. **Binder Check on Tuesday. Turn in binders before exam (after morning assembly) for a binder check grade.

Friday (B day)- No class

Monday (A Day) - We had class. Study for midterm and get binders organized. Turn in any missing assignments, quiz, or test corrections by Wednesday. Daily quiz from material covered on 12/9 is on Wednesday. 

Tuesday (B Day) - No class. Math midterm today during Enrichment period. Turn in binders after morning assembly.

Wednesday (A day) - We had class.

Thursday (B day) - No class.

Friday (A day)- No class. Christmas Program and class parties. Merry Christmas!!!

Read Lesson (3-2) in the textbook. Daily Quiz Thursday on what we did in class today (from lesson 3-1 in the text and our notes!).

Thursday (A day) - We had class. In your notes, write the Multiplication and Division Properties of Inequality (found in the "Key Concept" boxes on p. 59 in the textbook). Read Lesson 3-4 in the textbook. Do: PB p. 67-68: 3,4,12,16,20,22. Daily Quiz next Tuesday is on the notes and HW from today (Lesson 3-3).

If he uses the same amount each of the remaining 4 days, how much can he use?"

For 38, just write the correct division problem you would do (Do Not Divide) and work the units out to make sure your problem gives the correct units. (3) Re-read L(4-9 & 10) and review the notes from class. (4) In the textbook (p. 89), do #1,4,9,11.
