Math 6 (A Day)

Monday (A Day) - We had class and set up binders and books. Homework: (1) Look over Classroom Rules and Expectations document with parents and both sign. Return by Thursday. It's also posted under "Useful Documents". (2)Those who do not yet have binders and dividers, purchase one and set up tabs according to Class Rules page by Thursday.

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. HW: Read Lesson 1-1 (textbook). Do PB (workbook) pg 1, #2, 6, 10, & 12 ON LOOSELEAF. Read Lesson 1-2 (textbook). Do #1, 5, 9, 11 in textbook ON LOOSELEAF. 

Wednesday (B Day) - No class.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class.  HW: Read Lesson 1-3 (TB). Do PB pg. 5, 1-11 (odd) and 14. Read Lesson 1-4 (TB).

Friday (B Day) - No class.

Monday (B Day) - no class

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. Cover all textbooks by next class. Quiz Thursday on Lessons 1-1, 1-2, & 1-3. Do PB (workbook) p. 8 odds and #10. Read Lesson 1-5 (in textbook).

Wednesday (B Day) - 

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Do PB p. 10: 1-7 odd and #10. Read Lesson 1-6 (text-book).

Friday (B Day) - 

Monday (A Day) - We had class. Due tomorrow: Re-read Lesson 1-6 in textbook. Write down the steps of problem-solving in your notes (1 to 4). Do PB p. 13: #1,2, and 3. Start studying for quiz Thursday on Lessons 1-4, 1-5, and 1-6. Cover all textbooks by next class! Bring planners to class!

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. Due Thursday: (1) PB p. 14, #5; (2) Quiz on lessons 1-3, 1-4, and 1-5: STUDY; (3) Bring all books covered. I will take points off as of Thursday; (4) Bring any missing homework to turn in. Only 4 people turned in Monday's HW today.

Wednesday (B Day) - 

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Due next Tuesday (9/2/25): (1) Correct your quiz on a separate piece of paper. Have your parents sign it. Bring back. (2) Study for SHORT RE-QUIZ on Lessons 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3. I will drop the lower grade of your 2 quizzes.

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. DUE THURSDAY: Finish any quiz corrections. Return them, signed by parents. Do Chapter Review, p. 16-17 (textbook) odds. Study for a quiz on lessons 1-4, 1-5, and 1-6 in the next class.

Wednesday (B Day) - No class.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Finish Classwork: #5 on p.15 in the textbook. Finish Chapter 1 review, p. 16-17 (textbook) odds. I will give 5 min next class to finish quiz 2. Three people did not bring signed quiz 1. Bring them by Tuesday!

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Due Monday: Submit corrected Chapter Review, p. 16-17 odds (write all the problems out correctly on looseleaf) for a QUIZ GRADE.

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. Study for test Thursday on Chapter 1.

Thursday (A Day) - We have class. Binder check on Tuesday. Bring planners!

Wednesday (B Day) - We had class. Read Lesson 2-1 in the textbook. Finish your IXL diagnostic test. Finish and correct the multiplication problems from class. 

Thursday (A Day) - No class. Community service project and retreats.

Friday (B Day) - Campus service project. We will have class if finished in time.

Monday (B Day) -  We had class. Due Tomorrow: Do Homework Practice sheet in "Useful Documents" on this website. I will also email it to you. You can do it on looseleaf or print the paper and do it on there. Log into IXL and finish diagnostic test. Those who cannot do at home, come tomorrow morning at 8 am to do in my class. 

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. Due Thursday: (1) Ch. 1 Test Corrections. (2) Homework Practice sheet in "Useful Documents" (Same instructions as yesterday). (3) Study Facts; bring fact sheets back (those who I gave them back to) with incorrect ones written 3 times on back. Fact quiz may happen at any time. 

Wednesday (B Day) - No class.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Due next Tuesday: Do estimates on the middle column problems on the homework sheet that was due today. STUDY MULTIPLICATION FACTS!! To those I told: Return fact sheets with corrected facts 3 times each & bring addition flash cards (put them in a a ziplock or a rubberband or clamp).

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. Due Thursday: Read Lesson 2-1. Do # 1,3,& 5 on p. 22 in the textbook. STUDY (MEMORIZE) ADDTION & MULTIPLICATION FACTS! Fact quizzes may happen at any class. I will not accept Ch. 1 test corrections after THIS Thursday! Place in my turn-in box. Those who were told, but did not return fact sheets and/or show me flashcards must bring those next class.

Monday (A Day)- We had class. Correct Classwork sheet from 10-9 to turn in. Read Lesson 2-2. Study Facts.

Tuesday (A Day)- We had class. WB p.18 evens. 

Everyone (except those I have told not to worry about this):   Finish fact cards and STUDY FACTS; IXL: Go to "Learning"--->"Fluency Zone"----> 2nd grade ("Add within 20"), "Raceway Challenge" for 10 min each day. Work on assigned skills for 10-20 min each day.

Wednesday (B Day) - No class.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Read Lesson 2-3 and do p. 26 (textbook): #1-11 odd. Those whose "Warm-Up Corrections" say to correct something again, do that and turn in next class as well. Continue to study facts and do IXL fact activities.

Friday (B Day) - No class.

Monday (A Day)- No class. 

Tuesday (A Day)- We had class. Do the "Check Progress" in the Textbook p.28-29: #1,3,5,7,15,27,35,39,43 (for 7 & 15, use the rounding method for products we learned). Copy corrected and missing facts 3 times each on back of fact sheets or on clean papers to show me as part of homework. Study Facts!

Wednesday (B Day) - No class.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Quiz Monday on Lessons 2-1 to 2-3. Do Workbook p. 20: #2,5,9 and p. 22: 2,4,6,7,8.  Bring corrected facts sheets back if you did not finish them.

Friday (B Day) - No class.

Monday (A Day)- We had class. Do WB p. 24 evens. Finish correcting Fact quizzes (study them). Quiz Lessons 2-1 to 2-3 tomorrow.

Tuesday (A Day)- We had class. Do #27 & 29 on p. 33 in the textbook (we did these in class on mini-boards). Read Lesson 2-6 in the textbook- p. 34 and do # 1,2,& 3 on p.35.

Wednesday (B Day) - No class.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. For Monday, finish quiz corrections and do # 27 & 29 on p. 33 in the textbook. Spend 10-15 minutes a day studying facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication).

Friday (B Day) - No class.

Monday (A Day)- We had class. Study facts 10-15 minutes daily. In the textbook, p. 31, do #13, 16, 17, 18, 19. Also do # 23, 24, 25 - for each one of these, write the thing that is being repeated and the number of times it's being repeated. (It can be a variable, but say what that is.) What operation expresses repeated addition?

Tuesday (A Day)- We had class. Quiz Thursday on Lessons 2-4 & 2-5. Finish Classwork, Warm-up sheet: I will grade for accuracy! Read Lesson 2-6 in the textbook. Do all of p. 27 in the Workbook. THERE WILL BE A BINDER CHECK THURSDAY. Study facts!

Tuesday (A Day)- We had class. Study for a test on Chapter 2 on Thursday.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Do assigned skills on IXL for 20-30 minutes. Study facts.

Tuesday (A Day)- We had class. **Finish corrections on all graded work and return by Thursday. Study Facts! **Finish Chapter 3 Pre-Test (handout). This is only for a completion grade and NOT for accuracy. Do your OWN work!! This is for me to see what you do and do not understand. If something or someone else (a computer, parent, or friend) is doing your work, YOU are not learning anything!! **Remember we will have a short daily quiz on what we covered in class (first 5 questions of the Chapter 3 pre-test).

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Read Lesson 3-1. Do #2,6,10 in textbook on pg. 42-43. Daily quiz next class on the Ch. 3 Pre-Test handout we did today in class.

Do #2,4,9,12,& 15 on p. 42-43 (textbk). (3) Daily quiz Thursday on what we did today in class (mental math on the board and mini-board exercise!). (4) Study add/sub facts and Mult/Div by 2's for a graded quiz on Thursday. (5) Read L (3-2) in the textbook.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Due next Tuesday: Do # 2, 8, 13, & 14 on p. 30 in the Workbook. Update and finish your IXL Diagnostic test. Daily Quiz on basic division concepts from Lesson 3-1. Fact sheets corrections DUE THURSDAY.

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. Show parents all your graded work. Get Daily quiz 4 and fact quiz signed to bring back. Correct the spiral review (neatly on back of the copied paper I gave you!) and have your parents sign that as well. Finish your IXL Diagnostic test and Fact Sheets corrections (stapled, 4 pgs) for next class. Turn in missing homework from today. Daily quiz Thursday will be on problems from the spiral review, notes from L (3-1) today, and parts of a division problem.

Monday (A Day)- We had class. Do the WB p. 36: 1-16 evens and #19. Study for the quiz on L(3-1) to (3-3) tomorrow. Do quiz corrections to turn in. 

Tuesday (A Day)- We had class. Finish classwork: textbook p.52-53: 2,5,8,11,19,22,29,30. Read L(3-6) in the textbook and do #2-12 evens (p.54-55). Study Facts! Quiz on 5's! (4's,3's,2's also).

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. Correct your quiz. Show your parents and have them sign it. Continue to study your facts. We will do a Mad Minute quiz on all the facts next class. Spend 20- 30 minutes on IXL doing recommended skills.

Tuesday (A Day)- We had class. Correct Fact Quiz. Study for Division Fact Quiz on 2's - 6's. Daily Quiz on material covered today. In the textbook, on p. 55, do #19,21,23,26, & 27 and read Lesson 3-7.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. In the Workbook, do p. 38: 2,5,16 and p. 40: 2,6,10,14,16. In the Textbook, do p. 56-57: 2,4,10,11,27 & 28. Turn in any quiz corrections. Daily Quiz next time on what we did in class today.

Ignore the rest for now. Binder check is at our next class, since we did not have time today. Correct Fact Sheets for a 20 pt grade (**Write them horizontally, 3 times each). You do not need to correct circled facts.

(1) Finish Quiz corrections- due Thursday; (2) Do missing work; (3) Finish the Classwork: Chapter 3 Review (p. 64-65 textbook: 1,3,5,9,13-16,22,25,26,32,36-43); (4) Remove from binder: HW, CW, and quizzes from Ch. 1-2  **BINDER CHECK IS POSTPONED. **NO DAILY QUIZ NEXT CLASS.

Thursday (A Day) - We had class. For HOMEWORK (DUE MONDAY): (1) Finish the other side of the HANDOUT from class today ("Problem of the Day" 3-10). Write the math EXPRESSION (math problem) you will use to solve each scenario to the left of the words. Then solve it (on the right side of the paper) and match the answer to the words; (2) Do # 48,49,50, & 52 of the CHAPTER REVIEW (p. 65, textbook).

Friday (B Day) - No class. 

Monday (A Day) - We had class. For THURSDAY: Get binder ready (organize & thin it out!) & study for Chapter 3 test. For TOMORROW: in the textbook, read L(4-1): do p. 70-71> 1,3,6,10,11,15,16,29,31,33,35,36,37,45 (14 short problems). Turn in any missing work!

Tuesday (A Day) - We had class. Chapter 3 Test, Div. Fact quiz up to 8's, & Binder Check THIS THURSDAY. Turn in any missing work!! For next Tuesday, do PB p. 52: 2-12 even & #18; In the textbook read L(4-2) and do p. 72-73: 1-11.
