STEM/STEAM   Outreach Activities

I believe that outreach activities empower teaching and learning in both students and faculty. It enables faculty to see where their students come from, and enables students to see what discoveries look like (3:08 – 19:00 in the hyper-linked video) and connect their classroom learning with current affairs. Outreach works hand in hand with classroom teaching. It also helps bring out passion and excitement for career paths in each one of us. Since 2015, our outreach efforts have grown from activities at SBU to deliveries at K-12 schools and within local communities.
