Accommodation Suggestions

We've had a couple of people ask for where is good to stay in London. We have a few suggestions for you:

Basic & Low Cost

Easy Hotels are basic and budget (£30-60) but new/clean hotels that friends of ours have stayed at. There are numerous central London locations with easy access to transportation. We would recommend the following locations: Victoria (on the Victoria light blue Tube line which is close to Buckingham Palace/Harrods/St. James' Park), Paddington (express train from Heathrow, and on the Bakerloo, Circle and District lines).

Mid-Range Short-Let University Rooms

We'd recommend using the university accommodation from Imperial College or LSE. Their costs are really competitive and the locations are excellent and very central. Prices generally range from £50 to £100.

Try the LSE accommodation: Northumberland House, Bankside House, Grosvenor House or High Holborn would be great locations.

Imperial College also has locations in South Kensington - a lovely area but less convenient for the wedding.

High End

Hotels.com has listings of high-end hotels in London, mainly from £100/night upwards. We'd suggest you look at the following locations: Bloomsbury - Soho, Southwark - Waterloo, The City.

Also, Firmdale is the hotel chain that owns the hotel where we're getting married. They have excellent boutique hotels, generally from around £250/night upwards. Go to www.firmdale.com
