After spending some time at Miyajimaguchi, I head to the Hiroshima Youth Hostel. It was really secluded, past a graveyard on the top of a hill. I had no idea where it was and boarded a bus (based on the instructions i read somewhere). I asked the driver about YH (short for Youth Hostel) and he was actually kind enough to tell me when to alight and where to head. Fortunately, an older man was really kind to guide me to the nearest YH signboard. My sincerest thanks to both of them!
It was comfortable for me although it had the impression of a high school dorm (especially with school kids staying there, studying and exercising). What i hate the most was the curfew: 11 pm. I wanted to go to Hiroshima's illumination and it was already 9 pm when I left the hostel.
It was pure chance that i found out about this light festival. Based on what i read online, it is definitely different from Kobe's "Luminarie". Hiroshima's light festival is pretty large and had themes (not patterns). From the YH, I walked to the nearest station and head there. And after loads of asking around, I found it:
Happy with the views and photos.. I rushed back to YH.. god damn the curfew..
