MvC Guest Characters

These are MvC Guest Characters (characters that doesn't appear in official Marvel vs Capcom games) I've made or edited.

Because MvC templates feel like too overused (similar to PotS- and OHMSBY-style characters), the updates for the existing characters will rarely happen, and only minor ones. And for that aforementioned reason, I will very unlikely to add more characters that play like in MvC2 despite my best work. So don't you even try to make me milk MvC templates, okay?

These characters were made without editing someone's character, in other words, they were made from scratch (using bases of, like, Kung Fu Man).

There are MvC2-esque characters that were placed into special subsection that features my old MvC2 work. These characters are no longer supported as of 2021, as MvC2 template that FelixMario's Oshawott uses (which was the base of Zobbes' Tepig, who was the base for Emolga and Marill shown below), just like the other MvC templates, did not age quite well. Marine the Raccoon is also there as what I released is an unfinished yet playable alpha but using different character as base.

Self-explanatory. The stuff I lost interest to finish, but their leftovers are downloadable for those who want to finish my stuff. Keep in mind that most of them are very unfinished and mostly have Kung Fu Man sprites as leftovers.

• MvC1 Emolga's gameplay was originally supposed to be Super Smash Bros-like, but with 3 attack buttons instead of one for normal attacks and another one for special moves, as it originally used Glitz' SSB template (which can be downloaded from his site (the one originally used for MvC1 Emolga is "kfm oldish ssb2", while the one used for my SSBM Mario, Pikachu, and Young Link is "kfm oldish ssb" (wthout the number)). This was later changed to MvC1 gameplay style.

• MvC1 Pachirisu is actually a minor edit of my MvC1 Emolga with some absent features, such as striker/assist.

• Currently, original versions of MvC2 Emolga and Marill stopped receiving any further updates since October 16, 2021 since the base character I was using (Zobbes' Tepig, who is based on FelixMario's old Oshawott and based on old MvC2 Template) was built using old MvC2 Template, which, as far as I know, feels like outdated and kind of buggy for me. You can still use my characters listed here, however. Later, only Emolga was remade using same base as my MvC2 Plusle and Minun, with remake of Marill (along with MvC2 versions of Minccino, Sprigatito, and Chuih, and MvC1 Petunia) was scrapped because MvC templates feel like overused and they received bad reputation.

• Development of MvC1 Leafeon and MvC2 Marine the Raccoon had to be stopped only it's because I lost interest on them (for Leafeon the additional reason why I did that was that I'm moving from MvC1 Pokemon with JoshR's and NDS games' sprites to MvC2 Pokemon with custom sprites; maybe there could be a sudden twist at continuing working on those, but still)

• Togedemaru, Vulpix, Ribombee, and Piplup (all would belong to the original MvC2 guest fighters if they were finished) were all supposed to be finished, but their files are gone due to HDD crash on that gray HP Pavilion laptop with Win8.1 installed, and thus they were all cancelled. Sprites of them were partially saved: Piplup's sprites were hosted somewhere on MUGEN Database (though I got lucky back then since I got png version of sprites instead of lossy jpeg ones), Vulpix's sprites were showcased in Oliver as Latias' Discord server, but they need complete rework as it "still looks off imo" (as Extremmefan said back then), Togedemaru's sprites are ultimately gone, and Ribombee's sprites were saved in my own Discord server and perhaps I will use them in the future (but might remake them if I also find them rather off).

• Talking about sprites, Petunia's sprites were also saved in my own Discord server (but the frames like jumping and so on are gone, sadly). Though I plan to use new sprites based on Camren Springer's and Evilasio's HTF characters instead of those I made for HTF Petunia. But I need to ask the original artist(s) of HTF characters' sprites first though.

• MvC1 Emolga's and the original MvC2 Emolga's voice was from Pokken Tournament (or Pokemon Tekken; hereinafter Pokken) with some Emolga voice clips from Anime thrown into mix. However, PokePark 2 Wonders Beyond's Emolga voice sounds (almost) exactly the same as Emolga's voice from Anime, and I find Emolga's voice from Pokken too high pitched and unnatural when compared against PP2WB/Anime's Emolga voice (which is more natural), which is why Pokken voice is optional and PP2WB/Anime voice was made as default Emolga's voice. This originally affected OG MvC2 Emolga, as I didn't plan to update MvC1 Emolga after OG MvC2 Emolga was released, but come 2022, and MvC1 Emolga's final update made PP2WB/Anime voice (originally by gabe2006) to be default and Pokken voice became optional. However, the 2023 version of MvC2 Emolga (the one that does not use Felix's sprites) only includes PokePark/Anime voice because, like I said before, I don't really like her Pokken Tournament/Pokemon Tekken voice for being high-pitched (I'm sorry people who prefer Pokken Tournament/Pokemon Tekken voice over PokePark/Anime voice)
