LCLS Electronic Logbook

Where is the LCLS Electronic Log Book

The LCLS electronic logbook is located at http://pswww.slac.stanford.edu. Choose 'Web Portal' and login with your SLAC unix account.

Adding collaborators to the experiment

After selecting an experiment, stay on the "Experiment" tab, click Manage and POSIX group. In case you have the permissions to edit the list of participants of the experiment, you can search for users (name or unix user name) in a text field (right side) and add them to the collaborator list (left).

Tips on editing and searching for messages

Typping xppeloggrabber in a command window launches the electronic logbook grabber for screen capturing function. Use -h for additional options.

xpppython has a few interfaces for posting data and text to the logbook:

scangrabb(In,"text") sends the active scan to the logbook with the comment 'text'

x.Elog('text') sends the comment 'text' to the logbook

xppElog.submit('text') sends a list of xpp motor positions to the logbook with the comment 'text'
