Some of our "wrecked journals" are on display beside the catwalk. Of course, to some passers-by, these projects will look like piles of found garbage placed in a display case. However, this is an excellent example about how sometimes the process is more important than the final project- or how being aware of the process helps one understand the final project. Because of this, we are going to write a reflection about our wrecked journals.
Inspired by Keri Smiths' book "Wreck This Journal" I feel that this was a very successful warm up activity and introduction to the classroom. Check out Smith's other books on chapters.... you'll find even more inspiration ther.
