LASER CUTTING AND WELDING SYSTEM FOR APPLICATIONS ON LARGE COMPONENTS
MAXIMA
The MAXIMA system is a modular, highly configurable, laser system with a 3 axes mobile Cartesian portal, dedicated to cutting and welding operations on large elements or components.
In accordance with the characteristics of the laser application necessary for the production process and with the customer's requirements, the MAXIMA system can be configured with two independent Z axes (Z1 and Z2).
Each Z axis can be equipped with:
welding head
cutting head
component's local pressure system
The MAXIMA laser system is able to carry out welding with partial or full penetration.
Furthermore, to allow 3D laser processing, the cutting and welding heads of the MAXIMA system can be equipped with two further axes: Alfa (rotation axis) and Beta (inclination axis) or can be installed on anthropomorphic robots mounted on the Z axes of the MAXIMA system.
The MAXIMA system can be equipped with different types of laser sources (fiber laser, solid state laser, CO2 laser). The power of the laser source is chosen according to the specific application.

X axis travel: up to 32 m
Y axis travel: up to 3,6 m
Z axis travel: depends on the specific application, standard 0,7 m
Position accuracy of the X, Y and Z axes: + 0,1 mm
Repeatability of the X, Y and Z axes: + 0,05 mm
Remote technical service system
