(1) RICHARD BERRY HARRISON HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

On behalf of Harrisonites, Incorporated, Alumni Association, we will award (4) $1000.00 scholarships to high school graduates planning to attend an accredited college or university that meet the required qualifications below. This scholarship is given in honor of our historic, Richard Berry Harrison High School, Blytheville, Arkansas. 

There will be (2) local and (2) National Scholarships awarded.

In the case no applications are received both locally and/or nationally, (4) scholarships will be awarded to four applicants regardless of their locale.

 Applicants must submit all requested documents per the items below and the attached checklist on page 3.

·         Acceptance to a 4-year college/university or 2-year community college

·         Minimum 2.50 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale

·         250 word typed personal essay, including your educational/career goals and why you should be selected for this scholarship?

·         Current Official High School Transcript

·         Minimum 25 hours of community service completed in the last 18 months (official letterhead and ink signature required by a supervisor or counselor)

·         One letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor (official letterhead and ink signature required)

·         4x6 professional photo of yourself

·         Descendant/family member name as confirmation of a Richard Berry Harrison High School attendee and the decade they attended

*Please note that all documents must be postmarked and emailed no later than March 31st.
