I, Kenneth King, am doing Harrisonites work every day. Please accept as your receipt on the Commitment Page in the Paid Column if it is "pink" and your class year is listed, That means we have received your money!  Thank You!

Dear Committed Harrisonites,

I hope this appeal finds you well and looking forward to Reunion 2024 on August 1, 2 and 3, 2024  We are writing to let you know that we have concerns about the number of paid attendance and the reality of successfully having the reunion.

We assume you have all been on some planning committee, during your lifetime.  If so, you know that it is extremely important to know an approximate number of people to submit to vendors for food, souvenirs, seating, etc.

We have been closely monitoring the remittance of reunion fees.  The slow payments are causing us to wonder if we will be able to make good on the itinerary that is posted on the website.

We are sure you know that the more people we have,  the less we have to pay for certain services.  Today, we have 44 paid Harrisonites and 10 guests, for a total of 54 paid attendees  We originally stated that we need commitments from at least 100 people to even think of having a reunion.  If you do the math we are 46 short of that 100 goal.

If you are serious about your attendance, we beg of you to please send your fees as soon as possible.  We have set a deadline of July 1, 2024 to get our fees up to 100.  If we cannot get our numbers up, we are considering canceling the reunion for a lack of interest and funds.  We do not want to have this reunion and get left holding an outstanding balance to be paid by the committee.

We have done all we can do to plan this reunion that you requested.  The time is past due for you to hold up your end of the bargain.

Class representative and classmates, please look at the commitment list and light a fire under your classmates.

Thank you for your compliance and help in this matter.

FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT

Harrisonites,

We are breathing a sigh of relief at the light at the end of the tunnel of planning Reunion 2024.  We are awaiting some confirmations from some prospective program participants.  However, we have decided in the best interest of the Harrisonites and guests to post an update for your convenience.

Attached to this note is a tentative itinerary that is subject to change.  We know and respect that you need to know what your fees will cover.  We have done our work and now it is time for you to play your part.  We have limited funds to work with and hope that, if you are satisfied with our tentative itinerary and plan to attend you will remit your fees as soon as possible to aid in our ability to work on your behalf to make this reunion a reality.  We have received a donation and some fees and we say kudos to those Harrisonites.  Please visit the website at www.harrisonitesinc.com.

We will not have a Harrisonites Got Talent Show during Class Night.  We will instead have a Throwback Fashion Show and the Voice Hourly Karaoke.  Revisit your high school photos and yearbook to see what the latest styles were and walk the red carpet.  We also encourage those of you that truly would like to display your voice to select your favorite song and wow us with a karaoke number.  We need at least five or more note breathing Harrison Dragons or guests.  It sounds like fun, laughter, excitement, and joy.  Sign up today!

Below are the rules and guidelines for the Fashion Show and Karaoke. Send your entries to Harrisonites, Inc.  P.O Box 2093 Blytheville, AR 72316 as soon as possible!

If you wish to model in the Fashion Show, fill in the form with your full name, class year, and description of your fashion.  Delores Rice-Freeman and Lee Rainer class of ’64 will be Co-commentators.  The D. J.-Baby Dee will coordinate the Voice Hourly Karaoke from the entries we receive.  Please participate in the events and make this class night the one to remember most.  We look forward to your response to be a participant in at least one event.

We are happy about our plans and feel you will have an enjoyable weekend.  It takes the Harrisonite Village to breed success.  We need all of you to play a role.

We can’t wait to meet, greet, laugh, and have tons of fun!

In the Spirit of a Harrisonite,

Geneva Aldridge Harris, President

FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT

April 15,2024

Harrisonites,

The past five years have been a roller coaster ride!  If you are reading this letter, you were spared and blessed.  I am writing to give official notice that we are finalizing plans and will reunite for Reunion 2024 on Thursday, August 1, Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3, 2024, in Blytheville, Arkansas.

Events will be held at The Blytheville Primary School Multipurpose Building 1107 Byrum Road.  We will not have an Executive Board meeting.  We will have a Registration Meet and Greet. Breakfast will not be provided on Saturday morning. These changes will not hinder the fun, joy and laughter we have always enjoyed.  We will not provide alcoholic beverages. No special attire is required.  We eliminated the items to minimize the cost of the reunion to you.

Due to inflation, registration fees will be $150.00 for each Harrisonite, and $100.00 for each guest.  The deadline for registration will be July 15.  After that date, a $10.00 late fee WILL be charged.  No refunds after July 15.   Included in the registration fee will be your dues and a souvenir (not optional). If you prepaid your dues, a refund will be issued at registration upon your request.  Pre-registration will be done on JotForm, which you will receive by email or text in the form of a link. Each Harrisonite should submit individual forms. Refer to the link to complete another form. If you are unable to complete the form, please contact Kenneth King at 870-740-1194.  On-Site registration will be available during the reunion.  We do not accept credit cards, Cash app, Apple Cash, etc.  Fees are paid by check, money order or cash.  Payments should be made to Harrisonites, Inc.  Do not mail in cash payments.  A receipt will be issued upon your remittance of your fee. There will be no prorated registrations.

You will have to book and negotiate your lodging.  I encourage you to book a room as soon as possible. We ask each member to donate an optional $10.00 for our scholarship fund.  We will be honoring past and present Harrisonites and guests that served the medical field in every capacity. You will be able to acknowledge your profession on the registration form.

The term of the current officers (staff) is past due.  We solicit new members to lead in the future.  If you are interested in serving, please make your desire known by contacting Chairman of Elections Winston Turner at 501-952-3589 or Quedog1950@gmail.com. I have asked him to present a slate of officers during our business meeting.

We welcome volunteers to assist in various areas of preparation and maintenance. Please let us know how you wish to help.  If you have questions and/or suggestions you would like to help implement, our contact information is on the website.

Please check the website in the future for details and updates as they develop! Thank you for your interest.  We look forward to seeing you during the reunion.

Look for JotForms in your email or texts starting March 26 2024.
