Electricians and other engineers will often refer to themselves as "Part P"
Yeah I'm Part P, nice to meet you.
This, in fact is more a demonstration of their incompentence rather than their competence.
It would be similar to saying, "yeah, I'm Bible"
Where actually what someone might want to say is, "I have read the Bible and try to keep to its recommendations, such as the 10 commandments"
Part P is a section of the Building Regulations, that guides electricians on the the right thing to do.
In short it tells how to keep people safe and avoid danger and damage to property.
