Updated Itinerary and Accommodation Options for Winter Woolly Weekend – Raymond Terrace, 15th - 17th June 2024

Saturday 15th June

10:30 for 11:00am - Depart Berowra Truck Stop Area (Optional)

12:00 - 13:30 – Light lunch, Hunter Region Botanic Gardens. Gardens entry, sandwiches, coffee and tea all inclusive $25.00 per person ($1 pp extra for gluten free)*.

13:30 – Walk through Gardens at your leisure then depart for Raymond Terrace accommodation.

6:00 for 6:30pm Dinner – Junction Inn Hotel, 2 William Street, Raymond Terrace. This will be order from a menu at own cost. 

(Back-up venue for dinner – Lakeside Village Tavern, 74 Benjamin Lee Drive,

Raymond Terrace).

Note – For all meals gluten free or other special dietary requirements can be arranged with prior notice.

Sunday 16th June

Breakfast - own arrangements

09:30 – Depart accommodation for Nelsons Bay (approx. 44km/35 mins)

 10:30pm 12:00pm - Dolphin Cruise around Port Stephens on Moonshadow Cruises – Dock C, d’Albora Marina, Nelsons Bay. $35pp Seniors Card*. Bar, coffee, hot food available for purchase on board.

12:00pm time at leisure to explore Port Stephens and surrounds or return to Raymond Terrace.  Suggestions for rest of afternoon are 1) Fighter World, Williamtown, 2) Sketchleys Cottage, historic homestead, 1 Sketchley St Raymond Terrace and 3) a drive to Morpeth (approx. 10km/15 mins).

6:00 for 6:30pm Dinner – Raymond Terrace Bowling Club, 2 Jacaranda Avenue, Raymond Terrace. This will be a two course alternate serve set menu for $34.50 per person*. We will have a separate room with a table available to display photos etc..

Monday 17th June

08:30am Farewell Breakfast – ‘The Rectory’, a heritage building at 48 Sturgeon St, Raymond Terrace. This will be order from a menu at own cost.

* Items marked thus will be booked and prepaid by the Club. Arrangements for reimbursement will be advised closer to the time.


ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

As with past WWW, it will be up to members to book their own accommodation. The two suggested accommodation venues at Raymond Terrace are  -

1) Sleepy Hill Motel, 92 Adelaide St, Raymond Terrace, 02 4987 2321, www.sleepyhill.com.au 

They have a variety of rooms, including Queen rooms at $130 per night and Twin rooms at $140 per night. Good parking space is provided.

2) Colonial Terrace Motel, 130 Adelaide St, Raymond Terrace, 02 4987 2244, www.colonialterrace.com.au  

They have Queen rooms at $155 and Twin rooms at $165 per night. 

Suggest mentioning the Wolseley Car Club when booking at either motel.
