From about 2012 for a few years I monitised video content from Youtube on my personal channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/willmoindrot) and also a Youtube channel I set up with my ex-wife Adrienne (https://www.youtube.com/c/goodfriendstoknow). Through this our content was making about ~£200/year, but because our content was quite eclectic, event though some of the videos were very fresh and brought in a lot of views, we didn't focus enough on building up number of subscribers and when Youtube reviewed it's monitisation criteria we got dropped (had about 300 but needed 1000+). It was fun while it lasted, being dropped definitely had an effect of no longer wanting to make new videos, but I am starting to again make content available if I record anything interesting.
