I live in Crosby (Liverpool), having previously lived in Aigburth. I grew up in the Tanat Valley in Wales.

I work within the area of educational technology and development, currently at the University of Liverpool (2021), but previously at Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, University of Manchester, City University London and the Hull School of Art & Design (University of Lincoln).

My first degree was a BSc in Electronics, Media and Communication (specialist stream in Live Event Technology) from Leeds Metropolitan University (2003). I then did a Masters degree at the University of Manchester in Digital Technologies, Communication and Education (2012).

My past times are cooking, gardening, DIY, electronics, retro gaming, visiting pubs, making things, books and films. I enjoy brewing beer and making cider and other alcoholic beverages.
