Member Spotlight:

Jared Schneider, vice-president of the WPWV Chapter of AATG, has been a teacher at Butler Area School District since 2018. Since then the German program has tremendous success and has seen an increase of 76% in enrollment. Butler also has an active German club with over 30 students and has plans to travel to Europe in the summer of 2021.

Member School Spotlight:

Congratulations to Springdale High School students in the Allegheny Valley School District on winning the Goethe Institut's Our Sustainable Future Competition! Springdale HS seniors in German 3 and 4 worked together with high school gifted and technology teachers on their project, Improving Our Community's Indoor Air Quality. The students and teachers were scheduled to travel to Berlin for the Sustainability Conference this June 2020. They hope to travel to the now-postponed event in late 2020/early 2021.
