What can AATG membership mean to you?

You become part of a strong and supportive professional network that is active locally and influential nationally. You join not only local Western PA / West Virginia German teachers, but through the National AATG, also interact with thousands of German teachers across the nation. The AATG website has lots of resources for teachers, and the daily listserv digest is chock full of teaching ideas and resources.

What does the WPWV AATG Chapter do?

• We hold regular meetings to discuss teaching techniques.
• We communicate through our very own local listserv. Find out about local job openings first! Send an email to cathylynnaltmeyer@gmail.com to join the listserv.
• We provide this website / Facebook / monthly newsletter to keep you up-to-date.
• We provide support for German programs at all levels, K-16.
• We put on a large German Day event that attracts over 400 students.
• We provide mentors for new teachers who just entered the profession.

Membership Information

• Membership covers a period of 12 months from the day that you join.
• DOM (Date of Membership can be viewed on National AATG Website)
• Our chapter receives a check in early spring each year for a portion of the members' national dues.
• This funds our activities, workshops, German Day, etc.
• Please keep your membership up to date, so that we can serve you better.

Joining the National AATG automatically makes you a local member with no additional dues!
