Beekeeping For Vets and First Responders

Beekeeping for Veterans is a local organization that seeks to address personal wellness of veterans and first responders through professional training and community development centered around beekeeping. We offer a 9-month beginning beekeeping education course designed to train Service Members through a free in person training program. This training is designed with a community of support with other veterans.

What are the benefits of beekeeping for veterans?

Those enrolled in the VA programs report that beekeeping improves their social connections and helps to decrease their symptoms of depression and post-traumatic stress, resulting in a reduced need for medication and therapy visits.
