General:
Of the 156 homes in Wessynton, there are 23 on the water. These homes comprise the Wessynton Marine Association (WMA). The WMA is an independent non-stock corporation legally separate from the Wessynton Homes Association.
Purpose:
Within fiscally feasible limits, the WMA Board of Directors shall:
maintain to satisfactory working depths the channels serving the waterfront areas which are owned by WMA members or are leased to WMA or over which the WMA has easements;
coordinate or accomplish maintenance of the bulkheads along the waterfront which are owned by WMA members or are leased by WMA or over which WMA has easements;
ensure that WMA members exercise prudent, individual preventive maintenance of their respectively owned segments of bulkheading;
ensure that WMA members maintain their respective waterfront properties, to include docks and piers, in such a manner that they will not become unsafe, unsightly, or nuisances;
construct, or lease, as deemed appropriate, marina and waterfront facilities and maintain such facilities owned or leased by WMA;
lease, as deemed appropriate, waterfront areas and property from The Wessynton Homes Association.
