This is an area close to the park boundary. As at March 2013 only a 2.7 hectares (27000sq metres) portion of the area has been surveyed. Beside the fire trail there is a 600 metre length with extensive Boneseed populations, but how far up the slope this has spread is not all that certain. A survey of up to 70 metres up has indicated a very mixed density with the most being found closer to the park boundary.
The terrain near the fire trail is sloping but not particularly steep, however beyond that parts are quite steep. One or two spots also are difficult for footing.
