我有四個關於韻律、語言及閱讀的主要研究方向。首先,我研究關於韻律與閱讀關係的理論問題。換言之,我想要理解如何使用韻律線索來認字及閱讀理解。第二,我探究大腦如何編碼及追蹤韻律訊息,目標是要提供腦神經證據,來支持韻律有助於閱讀習得的論點。第三,我研究身心障礙兒童(例如:讀寫障礙、語言發展遲緩及聽損)處理韻律上會面臨哪些困難,進而釐清韻律處理困難跟語言/閱讀學習困難的關係。總括的說,我未來的研究計畫將使用行為研究方法及事件相關電位技術探究韻律和語言/閱讀的關係。以實證研究的結果為基礎,我將發展不同的中介療程,並以隨機對照試驗(randomized control trials)方法檢驗不同的中介療程,提供學校老師、語言治療師及臨床人員證據本位服務(evidence-based practice)的教學/治療參考方案。
