Child's Language and Literacy Lab

Dr. Chung directs the Child Language and Literacy Laboratory located in the Department of Education at the National Taipei University of Education. The lab uses interdisciplinary methodologies to explore the relations between language and literacy. Methods include behavioral methods, acoustic analyses, and ERP techniques. A special focus of the lab is to better understand the connection between prosody and reading in typically developing children and children with special needs (e.g., hearing loss and ASD). Complementary work examines the effectiveness of different reading interventions (e.g., self-questioning) in typical readers and their peers with poor reading abilities.
