A. You can start cuttings, or plant from seeds. If you have a larger plant already established, you can donate that as well.
A. Please start your cuttings or seedlings in smallish pots; we’re recycling take out containers and pots that we got with other plants in them for our starts. Someone else suggested yogurt containers or cut off milk cartons. Last year, people used paper cups for their seedlings.
We hope everyone who comes to the fundraiser and donates to get a plant will get one with roots that has good potential to live, so we hope donors will start their plants 3-4 weeks before the day of the event.
A. We do not have any right now, but check back to see if we get more later.
A. Once you have decided what you will start or when you have planted your plants, please give us a heads up about how many, approximate pot sizes and what variety you will be donating. We will set up tables and spaces in our yard and need to know if we will have 100 or 500 plants so we can be prepared!
If your plants don’t make it or something comes up, don’t worry. That’s life! We will understand, but again, a heads up would be appreciated.
About a week before the event, please confirm what you will be donating. (we’ll probably send an email asking, but even if we don’t you can email cybeebe27@gmail.com to let us know.)
A. Please drop off your plants either Saturday afternoon/evening, April 25 or between 9 and 10 Sunday morning April 26. We're near Watson Park and we will be publishing the address on April 25.
If possible, please label your plants so people who may not recognize them know what they are. You can make a little sign for each pot, or write what is in it on the pot itself. A photo of flowers, if the plant is not already flowering, would be very helpful! If you have several plants all the same, one label for all of them would be ok, too!
Sorry, we are not able to accept plants early because they have to be watered and protected and we are not set up to manage.
A. If you have boxes like the ones that dog food cans are sometimes packed in, or shoeboxes, or flat packing boxes, it would be nice if you bring your plants in them, and then we can use them for people to carry away their plants later.
A. Sunday, April 26 from 10-2.
After 2 pm we will be marking down any plants remaining.
If you want to take them back any plants that did not sell, you may pick them up at 2 pm. Please put your name on them.
After 3 PM we will be looking to give away all plants remaining. If you are part of a school or youth group that might want them, please let us know and we can make arrangements!
We encourage folks to hang out with us and talk to neighbors during the day!
Be sure to adopt a new plant or plants and make a donation to the Fountain! PLEASE NOTE - THIS WILL BE CASH ONLY!
A. YES! Mary will be available from 10 - 2!
Thanks again!!!
