Volunteer Power Needed: Shape the Festival of Trees!
The Festival of Trees is a beloved tradition, but it takes dedicated people power to bring this amazing fundraiser to life for Washougal Schools. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help us behind the scenes to make this the biggest year yet!
We Need Your Help With:
Planning & Preparation: Assist with logistics, setting up event timelines, organizing volunteer shifts, and preparing materials.
Donation Gathering: Reach out to local businesses, clubs, and families to gather high-quality items for the Silent Auction and help manage inventory.
Sponsor Recruitment: Help us secure financial and in-kind sponsors to cover event costs and maximize the funds that go directly to our students.
Your time and skills are tax-deductible contributions through the Hathaway Boosters 501(c)(3)!

List of Jobs and Descriptions
Planning and Preparation
* Organize sponsors, donors, and participants.
* Coordinate volunteers for the various committees
* Set up for the event, beginning Wednesday December 3rd
* Decorations for the event space need planning and preparation
The Event
* Set-up- Set up tables, signs, and various event supplies
* Welcome table - welcome peope to the festival, help register bidders, hand out event programs.
* Help with various portions of the event, including transitioning the entertainment, helping with the kids art station, support Pictures with Santa at breakfast, and more.
*Monitor the floor- walk around the floor and make sure that people are respecting the trees and baskets. Make sure that children are not running around the place.
* Serve coffee and cookies
* Check out winning bidders
*Wrap trees (tall volunteers greatly appreciated!)
*Loading trees for the buyers
Closing and Event Clean Up
* clean- up the event space and return supplies and gear to storage

* Help prepare and send thank you letters, tax receipts, and invites for the 2026 Washougal Festival of Trees
