Q: Do you allow use of images on other websites?

A: Yes, but with permission first and some other restrictions.

Q: Can I copy or use an image for publication?

A: Only with a signed contract and payment for print. This would be a "lease" of the image and the Meinhard Family still holds copyright of any images.

Q: Does the Navy own this website?

A: This website has no affiliation with the Department of the Navy, Department of Defense, or any other agency in the US Government.

Q: What kind of camera and film was used?

A: For the most part, all images were taken in color with Kodak Kodachrome slides. Other images were taken on black and white film. My Dad shot most images with a Nikon 35mm film camera. I am sure some images were taken with other cameras, but I do not know for sure.

Q: How do you get such good quality images from slides?

A: Nikon Coolscan 4000 slide scanner. I can scan about 10-12 slides per hour.
