04. Navigation

I just figured out how to order items in your side bar navigation on google sites without having to number your headings.

1. Go to your google site, while on any page click the 'more' drop down box (top right) then select edit site layout

2. Click anywhere on your sidebar and a window will appear, you must check the box which says 'Automatically organise my navigation'

3. A new box will now appear where you will need to add the pages which you want to appear in your sidebar, you have to select them one at a time and add them, including second level pages. (Use the add page button at the bottom of the empty box, pages which have been added will then appear in the box.

4. Once you have added all the pages you simply click on the item and use the up or down arrow keys (to the right of the box) to re-position. You can also use the side to side arrow keys to make your second level pages sit within another page.

Or you could just number them TAKE THAT Google sites!
