License

The vispubdata dataset has been compiled from multiple sources. Most metadata has been extracted from the CrossRef API and cleaned by hand by us. Some data has been manually compiled from historic records of the conference (awards). This data is shared under CC BY-NC 4.0.  

• Download counts have been extracted from the IEEEXplore API. There are a number of restrictions that apply to their use. Read about them here. Most importantly the data can only be used for "non-commercial educational, research, or scientific activities within Licensee’s institution (the “License”). "

• Deduped authors names are extracted from DBLP and relseased under CC0 1.0 

• Aminer citation counts are extracted from Aminer which seems to be considered open data

Exceptions:

• Most abstracts are copyright of the IEEE, but redistributable and reusable per the CrossRef membership terms.
