The autumn weather has recently brought many visitors to the Mount. We have hosted school groups who are studying Geography from Geelong College, Copperfield Secondary College and we have had enquiries from other schools interested in visiting and studying the area. These schools have been coming annually for 5 years and the Mount is included in an overnight tour travelling on to Warrnambool, Tower Hill, lava tubes at Mount Eccles and then back along the Great Ocean Road to explore the volcanic features.

On Saturday we welcomed a group of 10 from Mount Fyans some of them from Bogota Columbia and England who are staying locally and having a look at the local attractions. They all enjoyed a picnic in the crater and then climbed to the trig point. Also on Saturday we had a group of 20 visit who are from vintage scooter clubs in Victoria and Tasmania. These people were mainly riding Vespers (step through scooters) the oldest was a 1980 model. They had travelled from Melbourne to the Mount, and then on to Camperdown for lunch, and to Gellibrand for an overnight stay. The Camperdown Walking Club have also visited and we have bookings from walking groups from Ballarat for June. (More photos can be seen on our web site).

We hold our regular open days on the first Sunday each month 1pm – 4pm.
