GAM user manual

  • First page:

    • Press Privacy to view the privacy policy.

    • Press Help to log into the APP’s handbook, the Villa’s informations, to log into the school’s website and the informations about us, to read the Proffrana’s blog and look for more Art History’s informations and contents.

    • Press Start to begin.

  • You find the page selection of the Floor and language, Italian or English (ITA/ENG):

    • The image represents an exploded view of the Villa Reale’s façade that hosts GAM, putting down in evidence the ground floor, then rising the first and the second one.

    • Select on the Italian Banner, on the left of the screen, positioned on the requested floor, to select the Italian language for text and speech. In the same way to select the English language, press on the corresponding English Banner on the right.

  • Ground floor page:

    • if you have selected the ground floor in Italian or in English, the ground floor plan will appear.

    • On this floor there are: the ticket office, the toilets, the bookstore, the wardrobe.

    • There aren’t selectable rooms or artworks at this floor, because it is the location of temporary exhibitions that, as such, they result difficult to predict and developable in this APP.

    • Press Back to come back to the page of selection of floor and language.

  • Page First Floor:

    • If you have pressed the first floor in Italian or in English, it will appear the first floor’s map.

    • The rooms are identified by the Roman numeration and they are selectable pressing the matching number inside the map.

    • So, it will be possible to access the page of the selected room, listen to the audioguide and read a short description of the artworks.

    • Alternatively, you can search for a artwork or an artist by clicking on “Search for Artist / Artwork”: the list of the artworks examined on the first floor will be displayed, with the possibility of writing a search keyword in the square “search”. Selecting the chosen artwork, you will enter the room where the artwork is exposed, with the possibility of listening to the audioguide and read a brief description of the artwork.

    • Push Back to come back to the page of the floor’s selection and language.

  • Page of the Second Floor:

    • If you have selected the second floor in Italian or in English, the second floor’s map will appear.

    • The rooms are identified by the Roman numeration and they are selectable pressing the matching number inside the map.

    • So, it will be possible to access the page of the selected room, listen to the audioguide and read a short description of the artworks.

    • Alternatively, you can search for a artwork or an artist by clicking on “Search for Artist / Artwork”: the list of the artworks examined on the second floor will be displayed, with the possibility of writing a search keyword in the square “search”. Selecting the chosen artwork, you will enter the room where the artwork is exposed, with the possibility of listening to the audioguide and read a brief description of the artwork.

    • Push Back to come back to the page of the floor’s selection and language.

  • Page of the Rooms:

    • We can scroll horizontally up the artworks of the room present in the audioguide. Pressing on the images you can do the selection of the artwork.

    • In the centre we see the artwork selected with the audio transcription at the bottom.

    • On the right side, we can find the commands for the audioguide and the back button to come back to the floor’s map for the selection of another room.

    • From the top to the bottom the available commands are: Start, Pause, Stop. Repeat and, as already written, use the back arrow to come back.
