After a week of hard work writing and researching the team has been able to start piecing together our proposal one section at a time.
At our weekly meeting with our advisors we discussed our Mission Statement and Project Objectives where we were able to get good feedback and make improvements. Additionally, we were able to receive feedback on our introduction chapter draft, introduction to the background draft, and background outline. Finally, we discussed our PQP deliverables and received feedback on our existing ones as well as ideas for new and useful ones.
We then used the feedback from our meeting to revise our introduction to create an almost ready introduction draft. Furthermore, we were able to use the suggestions from our meeting to reorganize our background outline to create a story line for the reader to follow.
We finished off the week by completing our first draft of the background chapter. After doing a bit more research on some topics, we were able to pull together our individual pieces of the puzzle to create a clear picture of Venice as it pertains to our project.
We also began making headway on the methodology chapter by creating an outline. We used our individual knowledge, gathered from readings about the methods used in social research, to create an idea of how we will complete our project.
Looking forward, we will begin continue to revise our introduction and background chapters while moving forward on our project deliverables. Stay tuned to hear more about our progress!
