Week Eight: Finito

For the final blog of this 2018 Venice adventure, we want to start by thanking those that have kept a close eye on our blog updates and work over the past 8+ weeks. We are beyond proud to have completed such an amazing project and we are glad that so many of you have been following our progress! We would also like to express our gratitude to our sponsor, SerenDPT, as well as Professor Fabio Carrera, Professor William Michalson, and Michele Savorgnano for working with us over the past 14+ weeks. Their assistance was critical to this project and we can’t thank them enough!

To conclude the final week of our time in Venice, our team was asked to present for SerenDPT’s grant kickoff event at the company’s headquarters on the island of Giudecca. SerenDPT hopes to make this space available for large events in the future such as TEDx events for the city of Venice. The kickoff event saw up to nearly three hundred people over the course of the night and gave us great experience with presenting to a large, diverse crowd. We were honored to have been offered this opportunity; we thoroughly enjoyed this experience and had an outstanding time at the event overall!

Since this will be our final blog, we would like to encourage you to check out our final deliverables, report, and presentation! We have done an extensive amount of research over the past several months on the potential for sustainable agriculture and hope that what we have discovered is both interesting and helpful for future projects and studies.
