Today, we visited Majer, a coffeeshop, bakery, ice cream shop, winemaker, and grill. They have multiple locations scattered around Venice, and do all of their production here in the city. We spoke with managers who shared that Majer is trying to build its brand. That's the main reason behind having so many locations. Venice has so many tourists, who all go through the same "cycle" when they visit. By having many shops, the company can establish itself among tourists and locals, building its brand in the process.
Business has been good for Majer, growing approximately 10% every year. Despite the logistical difficulties of operating in Venice, the company focuses its energy on maintaining quality and consistency, working to grow in many ways at once. They prefer doing business in person, and believe that their next steps should be in image, marketing, and communication...as long as they can build the brand at the same time!
