Special circumstances
From Monday 23rd March some of the sessions of some programs will be recorded so that all students can continue their classes regardless of location. Your Program management will provide you with specific details about your sections, possible schedule changes, and sessions that will be recorded if necessary.
Recorded classes will have the same academic purpose as face-to-face or live sessions, and thus cannot be shared, published, or used outside of their respective sections. The purpose of this is to respect intellectual property and the image rights of participating professors and students. We have appealed to all our students to act responsibly and to respect this rule. If you have any questions regarding these (absolutely necessary) measures, please let us know via email at AdjunctFaculty@ie.edu. If some students do not want to be recorded during class, they can always participate through the active chat.
The technical quality of your online classes requires that you have a computer with a webcam, microphone, and speakers. If you need one of these items, please send a petition through Service Desk, in your Campus online, or contact us at +34 91 5689623 or it@ie.edu.
From now on as a faculty you have HOST rights to deliver your videoconference sessions.
That means that apart from using your Webcam, Mic and Share materials with your students, you will be able to:
What ´s a videoconference session?
Webconference sessions are interactive synchronous classes with students participating from anywhere in the world
Students can see and listen to the Professor in real time and the Professor can share documents, videos, whiteboards, polls and similar features to enhance the learning experience.
Webconference enables faculty to re-create the diversity and richness of face-to-face interactions in the virtual classroom.
Participants work in a very interactive environment using the chat window and their own webcam and microphone.
Professors can create a collaborative atmosphere and conduct student presentations, organize real time discussions, facilitate small group projects, engage students in role plays , or even bring in guest speakers to the session.
