Restricting the domain
A function [insert link] is defined by a rule and a domain. Often the domain of a function is maximal or implied; however, sometimes the domain is restricted. On the Casio Classpad II the domain can be restricted using the following symbol (highlighted below):

The input for a restriction for a function f: [a, b) → ℝ, f(x) = Rule is:
Rule | a ≤ x < b
- Inequality symbols (≤ and ≥) can be found on the soft keyboard under Math3.
Note: When sketching a function with a domain restriction, drag the entire CAS input (see the highlighted input below) into the graph screen (not just the function).
