Supervision

I was accredited as a BACP supervisor of individuals and groups in 1988 and spent 10 years working as an assessor on BACP’s supervisor accreditation process.

I have experience of training, selecting and assessing supervisors and counsellors, and of supervising the work of practitioners from various settings including Relate, primary care, education, mediation and private practice. As a trainer I have worked on formal trainings and also developed bespoke courses for teams and workshops for the public. I supervise trainee therapists and experienced practitioners, trainers and supervisors.

I believe that supervision should be an empowering process where supervisees feel secure enough to bring their work and where they may be supportively challenged to become the best practitioners they can be.

You are welcome to make enquiries concerning supervision and I will usually offer you the opportunity to come and meet me and to discuss your needs with regard to frequency and/or training requirements for your supervision. I like to know what code of ethics you adhere to and what trainings you have completed so that I can pitch supervision at the correct level for you. We can then make a contract for supervision that suits your needs.

Supervision fees currently are £50 for one hour, £75 for one and a half hours etc.
