WAGS (WEARABLE ART GROUP)

This is a subgroup of Valley Stitchers that creates wearable garments and accessories with an artistic component. The starting point is something the maker can wear and we challenge ourselves to make interesting items using a variety of techniques. Our members make clothing, scarves, bags, jewelry and try to look at each creation from a variety of perspectives. We use beading, embroidery, pattern cutting, fabric manipulation, weaving, piecing, knitting and any other ideas we come up with to create one of a kind items. We share techniques, help with fitting and exchange ideas and inspiration at our monthly meetings.

Meeting Information. Due to COVID we meet virtually on Zoom, on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10 AM and are open to new members.
