The Hoof Guided Method offers a unique method of barefoot trimming based on reading the hoof. A truly less is more approach, the Hoof Guided Method is based on the theory that a barefoot trim should mimic - or simulate - the action of the ground on the hoof, and that the true purpose of the trim is to stimulate the foot to grow healthy. You will learn what to trim and what to leave alone in order to allow nature to quickly transform the hoof.

• Lecture and PowerPoint Presentation with Q & A.

• Trimming - demonstrated on five horses with Q & A

• More Q & A to end the day. Participants are urged to bring photos of their horses’ feet for specific questions.

Cost: $100.00 per person if paid before August 5, 2014. After August 5, cost is $125.00. Negative Coggins and Signed Release Form Required.

Clinic Location: 4020 Fox Run Road, Powhatan, VA 23139 . Trimming will be done outside. Please dress accordingly and bring a chair. Bottled water will be available. No stalls are available.
