If you own, work, breed, exhibit, pull, log with, or simply admire heavy equines, mules or donkeys, this website is for you!

VDHMA provides many opportunities to work with, learn from, and teach others who share an interest in draft horses, mules, and donkeys. Association members have wide-ranging interests from farming with draft horses and mules to driving elegant carriages; from trail riding to dressage; from showing at halter to competing in pulling and log skidding contests; and from breeding and raising stock to caring for animals retired from the field and the show ring. Ownership of a horse, mule, or donkey is not required to be eligible for membership--just interest and enthusiasm!

VDHMA ANNUAL MEETING CANCELED

Meeting will be canceled for January 15, 2022 due to several members testing positive for Covid. The meeting will be rescheduled for sometime in February once a date is determined members will be notified .
