Why An M-DISC?

Regular CD's and DVD's decompose within a few years.The M-DISC is an archival DVD disc certified to last 1,000 years. It is a must for this project. It cannot be “burned” on just any DVD burner. You don't have to purchase a special drive to particpate in this project. Instead, you can use the one at Brigham Young University’s Family History Library within the Harold B. Lee Library for free.
