Introduction

You will be collecting oral histories from any combination fo the following: current and past residents of Alpine and Highland, current and former employees, extended family or friends of residents and employees. There are seven steps that willl help you record and transcribe these histories so they become a permanent part of our cultural heritage.

Follow the instructions associated with each step, and you will produce accurate, informative, and remarkable documents. Please review each step before starting. This guide will help you know where to look for sources as well as the requirements for the finished product.
