Congrats on the end of your exams! Hope everyone would have a fun and meaningful holiday! By meaningful, I mean don't just slack your hols away! It would be good to pick up some skills or read some books!

I'm sure many of you would have holiday homework as well so try not to procrastinate and leave till last minute! For me, I like to finish my homework as early as possible so i would not suffer so much from holiday-ending blues later on.

Anyway, here's a tip for solving a trigo question. Try it out first and see the answers below.

Solve the equation sin(2x - 30) = cos2x?

sine and cosine are co-functions thus the angles are complementary (sum to 90).

An equation to represent this is:

2x-30 + 2x = 90

solve for x

4x - 30 = 90

4x = 120

x = 30.
