Important People
Without the help of many influential and heroic people, the Underground Railroad would never have been a success and thousands of slaves would never have even been able to whisper the dream of freedom. These helpers came from different upbringings, had different jobs, different religions, and different friends, but they all shared a common thread...that they believed the institution of slavery was wrong.
Choose 2 of these important people (if you are working alone) or 4 of these important people (if you are working with a partner).
You goal will be to write a brief biography about each. Be sure to explain who they were and what role they played in the railroad. Include at least four important events and/or accomplishments that the important person did (in the correct order).
