Rubric and Grading

Definitions - 10 points. Each definition must be accurate and show the relationship to the Underground Railroad

Introduction - 20 points. Each paragraph is worth 10 points. Each paragraph must answer the questions posed.

Important People - 20 points. Biographies of the people should be brief and also informative. They should include who the important people are and what they did that was important. Also, each important person bio should have 2 photographs accompanying the information.

Timeline - 10 points. 8 events must include a correct date, a brief description of the event, and a photograph. Must be arranged as a timeline.

Journey - 10 points. Map must show an accurate route to freedom from a slave state. Map must also highlight and identify known "famous" safe house and Underground Railroad locations.

TOTAL: 100 points.
