Season Seven
After the Alpha site is compromised, Carter flees from a super-warrior with a piece of technology that may be the key to defeating Anubis' new army.
Injured and unarmed, with an invincible enemy on her trail, Carter must use all her training to stay alive while O'Neill and Teal'c race to find her before it's too late.
Previously on includes scenes from Allegiance and Evolution talking about the Super Solider and the device Daniel found in the Jungle.
Jacob and Sam are working in a building at the New Alpha Site. The old site was compromised, when Anubis used the probe on Jonas. They are building a weapon to stop the Super Solider, based on the technology from the device Daniel found. There is a cute exchange when we learn that Selmac doesn't like coffee; Jacob gave it up for his symbiote!
A young fresh faced airman comes in and tells them they are under attack from the Goa'uld!
Credits.
Back at the SGC, Hammond explains to the rest of SG-1 what has happened. Chevron Guy [Sergeant Davis] establishes a wormhole and sends through a MALP to the Alpha site. They realise from the telemetry that the MALP is on its side; it must have fallen over, as the gate is no longer upright. The wormhole dug a hole in the ground. Jack calls this the perfect foxhole.
The next scene is really cool we see SG-1 materialise inside the hole under the Stargate! They climb out and see that the Alpha site has been destroyed by a single radius blast.
More SGC personnel arrive one of them asks, "Who could have survived?" but they begin the search anyway.
We see Jack, Daniel and Teal'c searching, both Jack and Teal'c have bare arms! The other team also search.
Teal'c calls Jack, he's found something, some of the Super Soldier's Armour! Jack warns the others.
Major Reynolds and SG3 find some survivors, a Major Green, there's 12 in total, many wounded. They tell Jack over the radio and he asks if they have found Carter. "Afraid not" is the reply."
Hammond tells Jack that he will send some more teams, SG-9 and 12.
SG-1 find a wounded Jacob, he has the new device, however Sam has the fully charged one, he doesn't know where she is.
As Jacob is carried on a stretcher down the SGC ramp, Hammond asks him what happened, he doesn't know, but he does know that if survived the blast then the Super Solider did too. He's not concerned about his injuries; it's nothing that Selmac can't handle.
Is there anything else that could be use against the drones apart from the new weapon? Only loads of kinetic energy like a missile. Hammond calls over Siler and tells him to prepare a special UAV.
Hammond interviews the Major; he tells Hammond that Colonel Riley ordered the self-destruct of the base. Hammond asks him if there had been any unusual activity by the Jaffa or Tok'ra, he says they weren't getting on but that wasn't unusual! Hammond asks him to provide a list of everyone that has come and gone from the base recently.
Teal'c finds some footprints, they are standard SGC boots, it's Sam, however there's another set…The Drone's!!
Daniel visits Jacob in the infirmary; he starts to ask about his leg, but it clear he's not there for that, he wants to know what happened to Sam.
There's a flashback to the Alpha Site, the Super Solider kills the young Airmen we saw pre-credits, Jacob fires the weapon…no good…tries again…yes second time works!
Jacob tells Daniel that they ran for the hills, the drone following, if Sam is still alive then it's still after her. Jacob wonders why it chased them, could Anubis know that they have a weapon that could defeat the Super Solider?
Siler has finished the modifications to the UAV; Chevron Guy tells Hammond that the head Jaffa is ready to be interviewed.
M'Zel the Jaffa blames the Tok'ra for what happened, thinks that they have been lying because they are spying on the Goa'uld Olokun rather than helping to overthrow him and free his Jaffa. He sent some Jaffa himself but they didn't return.
Jack is following the tracks, towards the hills.
We see Sam, she's OK but her leg is injured and the Super Solider is looking for her. She hides and he doesn't see her.
Jacob knocks on Hammond's door, "Any news on Sam?" No, but Hammond reassures him saying how capable Sam is. Jacob asks about the investigation, Hammond questions him about the Tok'ra spy, Jacob knows nothing about it!
M'Zel comes back through the gate, tells them that Anubis has had a great victory over Olokun, Jacob says that if there was a Tok'ra spy then he would know about it. Hammond says, "you sure about that?"
Sam limps through the trees, her leg looks bad, a huge gash and there's a lot of blood.
The Super Solider sees her blood on a bush and on the ground and follows the trail.
The next scene is set up really well, We see Sam taking a rest, sitting on the ground leaning against a tree.
Then we see the Super Soldier about to fire at her, but no it's not Sam! It's someone else from the SGC in the same sort of position and he's already dead!
Hammond interviews the Tok'ra, Delek, asked about the spy he says he is unable to discuss such matters at this time. They get into quite a heated debate. Hammond says we gave you shelter, yes but only because you needed us! He's clearly not happy, says why should we tell you everything?, you don't tell the rest of your nations on Earth things and you didn't tell us about the ship building programme! Hammond asks how many Tok'ra are missing…5….there are 64 SGC personnel missing, Hammond is determined to get to the bottom of it!
Sam stops for a while, but she is fired on by the Super Solider.
Jacob visits the other Tok'ra and asks about the spy, surely as a member of the high council he should have known about it? But it seems that the high council hasn't told him everything, they think that Jacob is influencing Selmac!
Selmac says that Jacob Carter has had no more influence on him than any other host, but the other disagrees, he's too close to the Tau'ri and he wasn't informed as he would have told Hammond.
The Tok'ra operative is missing.
Jacob tells Hammond that he doesn't think they will find out what happened, says that the Tok'ra think his emotions are clouding his thoughts.
But Hammond still needs him, the Allegiance is falling apart and he wants Jacob to be the voice of reason.
Sam hiding sees the UAV, so she signals with her watch, but the drone shoots it down.
Jack is told over the radio and he Teal'c head towards where it crashed.
Jacob talks to M'Zel in the briefing room, tells him that the Tok'ra have made sacrifices too, many symbiotes died to make the tretonin that frees the Jaffa from dependence on symbiotes, including their beloved Queen. In the last 7 years, more System Lords have fallen than on the previous 700. They agree that together they are stronger.
However M'Zel whilst agreeing that his words are wise, says that his time at the beta site has taught him a few things and he suspects that Jacob doesn't speak for all the Tok'ra. Jacob agrees.
Sam has found the UAV and the missile and she does some work on it.
In the briefing room the Tok'ra says that the allegiance has meant too many losses for the Tok'ra, something they can't afford.
The Super Solider fires at Sam, she sends off the missile and we see him disappear in a huge fireball.
Teal'c and Jack run towards it.
Sam rests, but the earth moves, The Super Soldier is alive! He was just buried. Teal'c fires, the Drone fires back. Jack fires the weapon, no good; he reaches Sam and asks for the power pack, he fires again…that does it!
Sam: Is it?
Jack: Yeah he's dead. Right Teal'c?
Teal'c pokes the drone with his foot to confirm it.
Jack: Yeah he's dead. Wanna get up?
Sam: Just need to rest for a minute
Jack sits down beside her and puts his arm around her, she leans on his shoulder.
Back the SGC, decisions have been made. The Tok'ra are leaving the allegiance, it's the best solution for them, secrecy is their only weapon. The Jaffa are leaving too, because they feel they have simply exchanged one master for another. They need to do things their own way, build their own bases
Daniel says, "This is nuts!"
The Tok'ra says "Sorry Doctor Jackson this is how it must be."
Jacob visits Sam in the infirmary, says she gave him quite a scare and Jack's told him what happened and that he's proud of her. He's come to say goodbye, explains that he might not be around for awhile as the allegiance is broken, though he's hoping to mend some fences.
He kisses her forehead, "I'll miss you."
Crying, Sam replies, "I'll miss you too."
