Summary

The Odyssey travels to the Asguard home world to meet with Thor.

Thor tells Landry and SG-1 that his race has come to the end of their days .They install the Odyssey with technology that will be their legacy, then they beam off the ship and destroy their planet.

The Odyssey comes under attack from Ori ships, fleeing to hyperspace to escape them doesn't work as it seems that the Ori are tracking the new Asguard components.

The Odyssey crew are beamed down to a planet with a Stargate, leaving only Landry and SG-1 behind to try and save the ship and the Asguard's legacy.

As the Ori ship's fatal strike is about to destroy the Odyssey, Sam activates a time dilation field. Time inside the ship is now moving much faster than in the surrounding space, giving the appearance that the deadly Ori beam is frozen.

Sam works very hard to try and find a way to turn off the field and escape to hyperspace before they are destroyed, but all the simulations fail.

Many years pass, the team are kept alive by the Asguard matter replication technology. Cam deals badly with the frustration of being imprisoned on the ship, Sam blames herself for their fate, Daniel and Vala recognise their true feelings for each other and Teal'c is as stoic as ever!

After 20+ years Landry dies from old age and finally after many more years, Sam eventually has the solution, a way to go back in time just before the creation of the field and escape the Ori. However, one of them must stay old, Teal'c volunteers, because of his Jaffa physiology he has aged the least.

Back in the normal time stream, only Teal'c remembers the events on the Odyssey, but he doesn't reveal his secrets to the others.

The episode ends as SG-1 set off for another mission....Chevron 7 Locked!
