Line In The Sand

Summary

Major Reynolds reports to the SGC that a former Goa'uld controlled planet, is under threat from the Ori. Unless the planet agrees to embrace Origin and build the device that is used to burn people alive, they will be destroyed.

Sam has been testing Merlin's device that shifts things to another dimension, maybe with enough power they'll be able to hide the whole village when the Ori return.

The plan appears to work well ; SG3 guarding the Stargate witness the village vanish.

However the device fails, the villagers bravely try to defend themselves from the Ori but it's no use. Sam is critically wounded and two of the Naquadah reactors powering the device are damaged.

Cam manages to get the device working on the remaining power source and is able to hide himself, Sam and the building where the device is located.

Vala is captured and taken to the Ori ship where she is reunited with Tobin, who's job is to teach her the ways of Origin. Vala tries to convince him that the Ori are false gods and no true god would sanction the killing of so many innocent people.

Teal'c hides amongst the villagers, but is given up by one them when they are threatened by the prior. Unable to find Sam and Cam the prior decides to destroy the whole village.

Time is running out for Sam and the villagers. Can Sam come up with one last plan to save the village? Or will Tobin have a change of heart and try to stop the destruction himself?
